Privacy Notice

Last updated: 14 October 2026

This notice explains how Schumer's check in ("we", "us") handles personal data when you use Schumer's Check In at schumercheckin.com. We are the data controller: we decide why and how your data is processed. Contact: emmaschumer3@gmail.com.

What we collect and why

  • Account data (name, email, password, role, team membership) — to create your account and run the Service. Legal basis: contract.
  • Check-in data (sleep, energy, soreness, mental wellbeing, overall feeling, notes, practice and gym feedback) — to show you your trends and give your coaches a team overview. Legal basis: contract, and your explicit consent for health-related data.
  • Menstrual cycle data (optional; period dates and symptoms) — to give you cycle-aware insights. Coaches never see individual cycle details, only anonymous team counts. Legal basis: your explicit consent, which you can withdraw anytime by deleting the entries.
  • Private comments — stored only for you; coaches cannot read them.
  • Device and notification data (push notification token, browser/device type) — to send reminders you turned on. Legal basis: consent.
  • Technical and usage data (IP address, logs, pages visited) — for security, fraud prevention and improving the Service. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
  • Support messages — to answer your questions. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

Payment details are collected directly by Paddle; we never see your full card number.

Who we share data with

  • Your team's coaches — your check-in data (not your private comments or cycle details).
  • Service providers who host and run the Service for us (hosting and database, email delivery, push notifications), bound by data-processing terms.
  • Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for selling subscriptions, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where needed.
  • Authorities where required by law.

We never sell your data or use it for advertising.

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where they do, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

How long we keep data

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account in Settings, your personal data is deleted. Billing records are kept as long as required by tax law. Data we no longer need is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email us and we'll respond within one month. You can also complain to a supervisory authority — in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections, access controls that keep each team's data separate, and limited access for staff.

Cookies

We only use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and the app working. We do not use advertising cookies.

Changes

If we change this notice in an important way, we'll tell you in the app or by email.
